Let the total volume of the cube be x l

Thus, we have it that;

3/4 * x = 4.374

3x = 4 * 4.374

x = (4 * 4.374)/3

x = 5.832 L

The volume of a cube is the length of its side raised to the power of 3

Let us have the length as y

so;

y^3 = 5.832

y = cube root of 5.832

y = 1.8 dm

The area of the base is simply the side length raised to the power of 2

we have this as:

1.8 * 1.8 = 3.24 dm^2
