Explanation:
Add up your data. 3+13+11+5=32
Divide the sum by the number of data you have. In your case you would divide 32/4/
This will give you 8, which is your mean. Now, subtract 8 from each value and put the difference to its absolute value.
Now, add up each of these values (5+5+3+3=16), then divide by 4. This will give you an answer of 4.
