To solve this, you will have to set up your equation as fractions:

X is to 4 as 4 is to 4+3, or 7

X/4 = 4/7

You will then cross multiply

7x = 4•4
7x = 16

Divide.

X = 2.285714...

Round to the nearest hundredth.
