We're working on Area of a Triangles on Coordinate Grids what's the area of this triangle here? The screenshot attachment is the problem that needs to be solved. If someone could answer quickly I would appreciate it! This is geometry by the way.

Answer:

11.5 square units

Explanation:

It’s a 4 by 6 rectangle, so the total is 24. Then subtract the three little triangles on the outside. (Much easier than doing the main triangle).

1/2x1x4=2

1/2x1x6=3

1/2x3x5=7.5

2+3+7.5=12.5

24-12.5=11.5
