a^2 + b^2 = c^2

In this case a and b are 16 and 18

In order for it to be a right triangle, c has to equal 34, in this problem.

16^2 + 18^2 = c^2

= 580^2

√(580) = 24.0832

Since 24.0832 does not equal 34, this is not a right triangle
