Answer:

(3 x
x) + (3 x 8) = 42

Explanation:

3(x+8) = 42

3*x + 3*8 = 42

3x + 24 = 42

3x = 42 -24

3x = 18

x = 18 / 3

x = 6

Hope this helps :)

Answer:

3(x+8) = 42\\=>(x+8) = 14

3(x+8)=126\\=>x+8 = 42

3(x+8) = 42\\=> 3x +24 = 42

3(x+8) = 42\\=> 3\cdot x +3\cdot 8 = 42

YES

x +8 = 14\\3\cdot x +3\cdot 8 = 42\\3x + 24 =42

NO

3(x+8) = 126\\x+24 = 42\\3x+8 =42
