Answer:

Age of Sean = 15

Age of Ricki = 10

Ratio \ of \ their \ age = 15 : 10 = 3 : 2

Sum \ of \ the \ ratio = 5

Let \ number\ of sweets \ be \ x

Number \ of \ sweets \ Sean \ got = (3)/(5) * x\\\\48 = (3)/(5) * x\\\\x = (48*5)/(3) = 80

Total \ number \ of \ sweets = 80\\Sean \ got \ 48\\Number \ of \ sweets \ Ricki \ got = 80 -48 = 32

Ans : a) 3 : 2

b) 32 sweets
