Answer: Check a dictionary (hardcopy or softcopy), check the internet (has more definition than some dictionary), Ask a friend or someone close by.

Step-by-step explanation:

The purpose of reading is for learning; to build or educate the mind of either what it knows before or what it doesn't know. When reading and you come across a word that you don't understand, here are the things you can do;

- Refer to a dictionary; today we have dictionary in phones and hardcopy, the phones makes it easier when you don't have a hardcopy close

2) Check the internet for the meaning; this could be faster and in most cases has many words than that which is in dictionaries

3) Ask a friend, we also learn from people, especially those who have come across those words we don't know, so you can also ask people
