the treaty of versaille caused a decline in germany. Germany was blamed for war, lost land, and had to pay large amounts of reparations. they already had damaged land from WW1. with this and the great depression, germanys economy fell. the Germans were vulnerable and needed someone powerful to rule and regulate germany, to get back to power. hitler promised to get germany back to power and get revenge on the allied powers. and so he tried to do with WW2.
