Answer:

To calculate the area of a semicircle

We are gonna have to use the formula :

(1)/(2) π r² [ that is the formula to calculate the area of a semicircle ]

Explanation:

If we want to calculate the radius of a semicircle with 4 ft --

we would first write the formula which is "
(1)/(2) π r²"

Then, you would write:
(1)/(2) π (4 ft)²

After that, you would write:
(1)/(2) (3.14)(16)

Type that into a calculator and you would get 25.12 as your answer

--

Why did we write 3.14 and 16? [
(1)/(2) (3.14)(16) ]

Bc, the first digits of pi are 3.14 .

We wrote 16 because 4² = 16 [ 4x4=16 ]

My explanation isn't that good so I would suggest watching the math antics video which is named "Circles, Circumference And Area"
