\boxed{\large{\bold{\textbf{\textsf{{\color{brown}{Answer}}}}}}:)}

Given :-

  • pressure is exerted on the head of a nail when it is struck with a force of 50 N and area of contact is 0.00002 m²

To Find :-

  • Pressure??

Solution :-

We know that

\boxed{\bold{P = (F)/(A)}}

where

  • P = pressure
  • f = force
  • a = acceleration

According to the question,

  • P = 50/0.00002
  • p=50/2/100000
  • p=50×100000/2
  • P = 2500000 Pa

Given:-

Force ,F = 50 N

Area on which force act ,A = 0.00002 m²

To Find:-

Pressure is exerted on the head of nail,P

Solution:-

We have to calculate the pressure exerted on the head of a nail when force of 50 N is applied on nail and the area of contact with nail is 0.00002 m².

As we know that Pressure is calculated by the force acting per unit area.

P = F/A

where,

P denote pressure

A denote area on which the force acted

F denote force

Substitute the value we get

⟹ P = 50/0.00002

⟹ P = 50×100000/2

⟹ P = 25×100000

⟹ P = 2500000 Pa

Hence, the pressure exerted on the tip of the nail is 2500000 Pascal or 2500 KiloPascal.
