y = a (1 - r)^t

Where

y = Population after time t

a = Initial population or size = 60 animals

r = rate of decay = 3.5 % per year = 0.035

t = Time = 10 years

Hence,

y = 60 × (1 - 0.035)¹⁰

y = 60 × 0.7002822742

y = 42.016936449 animals

Approximately = 42 animals

Therefore, the population of that species be after 10 years is 42 animals
