Can somebody explain how to slove this

(it’s not 9+6=15 btw)

You start driving west for 9 miles, turn right, and drive north for another 6 miles. At
the end of driving, what is your straight line distance from your starting point?
Round to the nearest tenth of a mile.

6²+9²=c²

36+81=c²

117=c²

c=10.8
