Answer: x = 12 * tan24

Explanation:

We're going to use tan because we know one of the angles which is 24°. We also know the leg opposite of that angle, and the leg adjacent to that angle. Using that information, the best option would be tan.

Tan = opposite / adjacent, so substitute everything into that equation

tan24° =
(x)/(12)

12 × tan24° = x (move the 12 from the right side to the left side by multiplying)
