Sasha reaches into her sock drawer that contains 3 blue socks, 5 orange socks, and 7 white socks. If Sasha does not look into the drawer, what is the probability that she will first choose an orange soc and then choose a blue sock (She will not replace the first sock prior to choosing the second)?

I think it would be 1/3, but that isn’t an option.

Answer:

B : 1/14

Explanation:

well you have 15 socks in total then only 5 are orange so you have a 1/3 of getting a orange since 15/5 3 then you have only 3 blue socks out of the 14 still remaining since you already took out the 1 orange out so you have a 1/5 of getting a blue so then after all of that you multiply the denominator which are 3 and 5 which comes out to be 15 BUT since you already took out the orange sock you only have 14 so you have a probability of 1/14
