Answer:

  • x = 6

Solution:

Here, we are given a triangle with 2 of its angle , the third angle is in the form of variable equation .

We will use the angle sum property of triangle to find the value of variable i.e x in the given triangle.

Here,

∠A = 70°

➙ ∠B = 60°

➙ ∠C = 8x + 2

  • Angle sum property

It states that the sum of all angles of a triangle is 180°

‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ➙ ∠A + ∠B + ∠C = 180°

‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ➙ 70° + 60° + ∠C = 180°

‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ➙ 130° + ∠C = 180°

‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ➙ ∠C = 180° - 130°

‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ➙ ∠C = 50°

‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ➙ 8x + 2 = 50 ‎

‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ➙ 8x = 50 - 2

‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ➙ 8x = 48

‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ➙ x = 48 / 8

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ➙ x = 6

Answer:

Explanation:

8x + 2 + 70 + 60 = 180 {angle sum property of triangle}

8x + 132 = 180

8x = 180 -132

8x = 48

x = 48/8

x = 6
