At a local college, 118 of the male students are smokers and 472 are non-smokers. Of the female students, 50 are smokers and 450 are non-smokers. Prob. of male smoker
P(ms)= (118)/(590) = 0.2

Prob. of female smoker
P(fs) = (50)/(500) = 0.1

Prob. that both ar smokers
P(bs)=P(ms) * P(fm) =0.2 * 0.1 = 0.02
