The Lion laughed and called out in
reply. It was justly yours, no doubt!
The gift of a friend, perhaps, eh?"
He dared not resist, but when the
Lion had gone some distance he
said, 'It is most unjust of you to take
what's mine away from me like
that."

Answer:

The wolf actually stole the lamb. Now, the lion is stealing the lamb from the wolf. When the lion reminds the wolf that he is being a hypocrite.

Step-by-step explanation:

Look at it from this perspective: The strong prevail - they usually win. So in reality, the wolf overpowered the lamb and stole him from the farmer. Now, the stronger of the two (wolf, lion) explains that I am only doing what you did..... I stole just like you stole. Was it ever really yours to begin with - you stole it too.
