Explanation:

number of small cubes that would fill the prism = volume of prism / volume of small cubes

volume of a prism = length x width x height

3 x 6 x 8 = 144

volume of cube = length³

(1/4)³ = 1/64

144 ÷ 1/64

144 x 64 = 9216
