A conjunction is a word, or words, used to connect two clauses together. Words such as: 'although', 'because' or 'when' .

Indepndent clause

An independant clause expresses a complete thought an can stand by itself as a sentence.For example; For the first time, I am scared of what will happen.

I am scared for what will happen is a independent clause.

Dependent clause

A dependent clause does not express a complete thought.For example; When the airplane lands we will get of it. When the airplane lands is a dependent clause
