Answer:

x=2 y= -3

Explanation:

2x+2y = -2

x+y = -1 (dividing both sides with 2

x+1 = -y

3x - 2y = 12

3x + (-y)(2) = 12

3x + (x+1)(2) = 12

3x+2x+2=12

5x+2=12

x=2

-y= 1+2

y= -3

Answer:

(2,-3)

Explanation:

by elemination

2x + 2y = –2

3x – 2y = 12

cross out the 2y and -2y because the cancle each other.

that leaves 2x= -2

and 3x = 12.

simply add/subtract. 2x+3x=5x

-2+12=10.

5x=10

x=2.

now for the y. we have x so all we have to do is plug.

take any equation. 2x + 2y = –2 and plug 2 into the x.

2(2)+ 2y = –2

4+2y= -2

-2-4= -6

2y=-6

y=-3.

put x and y into ordered pairs

(2,-3) and done.

easy peasy.
