Answer:

B. or -16

Explanation:

First, find what |-3-(-1)| is equal to.

|-3-(-1)|

= |-3+1|

= |-2|

= 2

|-3-(-1)|=2

Now we find x (I find it easier to substitute the question mark with a variable)

x÷-8=2

Lets go through our values, or answer choices:

-32/-8 = 4

This cannot be the answer

-16/-8=2

This is the correct answer.

So...

-16÷-8=|-3-(-1)|

They are equal because both sides equal 2.

Hope this was helpful and made it a bit easier to understand.

The answer is -16 because -3- -1 equals -2 then goes to 2 because the absolute value and 2*-8 equals -16
