x = 54, y = 63

Explanation:

117° and the left base angle are adjacent and sum to 180°

base + 117° = 180° ( subtract 117° from both sides )

base = 63°

Since the triangle is isosceles ( congruent legs ) then the 2 base angles are congruent , so y = 63

and x = 180 - (63 + 63) ← sum of angles in a triangle

x = 180 - 126 = 54
