\huge \mathrm{Answer࿐}

In the given Trapezoid, There's a right angled triangle with :

  • height = 40 units

  • base = 70 - 40 = 30 units

By Applying Pythagoras theorem here,

\large\boxed{p {}^(2) + b {}^(2) = h {}^(2) }

note :

  • p = perpendicular / opposite side

  • b = base / adjacent side

  • h = hypotenuse (AB)

let's solve :

  • 40 {}^(2) + 30 {}^(2) = h {}^(2)

  • 1600 + 900 = {h}^(2)

  • 2500 = {h}^(2)

  • h = √(2500)

  • h = 50

Therefore, Length of AB = 50 units
