Cheryl, Jane, and Marco were discussing processes
that change the
surface of Earth. They did not agree on the process of erosion. This is
what they said:

Cheryl: I think erosion is when Earth materials are laid down or settle
somewhere.

Jane: I think erosion is when Earth materials move from one area to
another


Marco: I think erosion is when Earth materials break down, such as when
a big rock breaks into smaller rocks.

The definition of erosion is “the process of eroding or being eroded by wind,water, or another natural agent.” And Marco’s is the closes answer to the definition like rocks in the ocean they slowly deteriorate from the water splashing back and forth on the rocks and the rocks slowly erode
