i) 4 females

ii) 8 females

Explanation:

1. Ratio of males= 3x

3x = 3

Thus, x = 1

If there are 3 males, there will be 4 females

2.Rato of males= 3x

3x = 6

Thus x = 2 [6 divided by 3]

4x = 4 x 2 = 8

If there are 6 males, there would be 8 females.
