Hello.

The first step is to use the Distributive Property and distribute 3:

3(n-1)<21

3n-3<21

Now, add 3 to both sides:

3n-3+3<21+3

3n<24

Divide both sides by 3:

n<8

Therefore, the answer is

n<8

I hope it helps.

Have a nice day.

\bold{3(n - 1) < 21 }\\\\\bold{ 3n - 3 < 21 }\\\\\bold{ 3n < 21 + 3} \\\\\bold{ 3n < 24} \\\\\bold{ n < \cancel(24)/(3)} \\\\ \bold{n < 8}

hope helpful~
