YOU REALLY HIT IT OFF WITH A CLASSMATE OF ANOTHER RACE WITH WHOM YOU HAVE MANY COMMON INTERESTS. YOUR FAMILY WILL NOT ALLOW THAT PERSON IN YOUR HOUSE AND HAS FORBID YOU TO GO PLACES WITH HIM/HER. WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

I’d disown my parents, because racists don’t deserve the time or energy. Obviously, I’d be careful not to let them know i’m friends with that person in the first place, because I wouldn’t want to put my friend in any danger, but in general, I’d just fight the parents

§ That's a hard situation to be in, but I'd try to tell my family that just because someone is of another race doesn't make them a horrible person or mean they should be treated like garbage- Then, if I could change their minds I'd tell my parents about them, but be careful not to say that we are friends, and if they are accepting I'd tell them I want to be friends with the classmate §
