Given:

Jazmine made
3(1)/(3) cups of jam.

One jar can hold
(2)/(5) cup.

To find:

Number of jars of jam can Jasmine make.

Solution:

We have,

Capacity of each jar =
(2)/(5) cup

Total jam made by Jazmine =
3(1)/(3) cups

=
(3(3)+1)/(3) cups

=
(10)/(3) cups

Now,

\text{Number of Jars of jam}=\frac{\text{Total jam made by Jazmine}}{\text{Capacity of each jar}}

\text{Number of Jars of jam}=((10)/(3))/((2)/(5))

\text{Number of Jars of jam}=(10)/(3)* (5)/(2)

\text{Number of Jars of jam}=(25)/(3)

\text{Number of Jars of jam}=8(1)/(3)

Approx the value to the next integer.

\text{Number of Jars of jam}\approx 9

Therefore, Jasmine make 9 cups of jam in which 8 are completely filled and one is filled one third.
