Please help!! ;w; Thank you in advance!!!

In woodworking class, Carlos has a board with a length of 10 5/6 inches. He cut two boards from it at a length of 2 1/4 inches each. How much of the original board is left?

10 5/6 = 65/6

2 1/4 = 9/4

2 (9/4) = 9/2

So the length left is

65/6 - 9/2 =

65/6 - 27/6 =

38 / 6 =

19 / 3 =

6 1/3 in

sorry this was a late response
