Given :-

And we need to find the value of sine for this angle. Therefore we can say that , Base = 16 units and Perpendicular = 12 units . So Using Pyhthagoras Theorem , we can find hypontenuse.

Using Pythagoras Theorem :-

:\implies = 16² + 12²


:\implies = 256 + 144


:\implies = 400


:\implies h = 20 u

Therefore the sine will be :-


:\implies sinθ = p/h


:\implies sinθ = 12/20


:\implies sinθ = 3/5

  • And it is in third quadrant so , sine will be negative .


:\implies sinθ = -3/5

Therefore the value of sine is -3/5.
