Answer: 384 ft. squared

Explanation:

Hey!

So for this problem we first need to convert our scale lengths to feet. Since 4 in. equals 8 ft. that would make the 12 in side 24 ft. long because 12 divided by 4 is 3 and 3 time 8 is 24. We do this because we need to figure out how many times 4 inches are in each length because that how many time the 8ft is in the real length.

Next, we would do the same for the next side and divide 8 by 4 which is 2 and then we multiple 8ft by 2. We then get 16 ft which is our other side length.

After that, we just do our area formula which is length x width or in this case 16 x 24. This gets us 384 and then we add our unit and squared at the end and have our answer.
