answer : 24 π or 75.40 sq. units

Explanation:

Given data :

Height of plane region = 3

base of plane region = 4

When we revolved the plane region completely we will we forming a cone hence we will calculate for the surface area of a cone

Radius of the new cone = 3

Height of the cone = 4

slant height of the cone ( l ) =
√(4^2 +3^2) = 5

surface area of cone = πr^2 + πrl

= π ( 3 )^2 + π (3 ) ( 5 )

= 24 π or 75.40 sq. units
