okay, so this is just a volume problem, just break it down into your rectangular prism and your rectangular pyramid, so let's start on the bottom:

(the formula for the volume of a rectangular prism is base x height)

6 x 4.5 = 27

So now we multiply by 5 (the height)

27 x 5 = 135

So we put that aside while we do the pyramid

(this formula is base x height ÷ 3)

So we already have 27 from the rectangle thingy, so:

27 x 7 = 189

189 ÷ 3 = 63

So now we add both of our volumes together:

135 + 63 = 198

So the volume of the figure is 198in³

But in word problem terminology, There is 198in³ in Owen's birdhouse
