A bag contains 7 red marbles, 3 blue marbles and 8 green marbles. If three marbles

are drawn out of the bag, what is the probability, to the nearest 10th of a percent, that
all three marbles drawn will be green?

10.2% but there is a chance of it being 8.8%

Explanation:

there are total of 18 marbles to start

of this at the begining there is a 8/18 chance to draw a marble, now here is where it can get tricky so ive organized them into different groups, A and B

Option A: The Marbles are removed after

this would make the problem be 8/18 x 7/17 x 6/16

4/9 x 7/17 x 3/8 or 84/1224

simplify 42/612

simplify 21/306

(21/306) x 100 = 10.2%

Option B: The Marbles arent removed after

8/18 x 8/18 x 8/18

4/9 x 4/9 x 4/9

64/729 = .08779

.08779 x 100 = 8.8

8.8%

It depends on what youve learned in class, i would go with option A
