The mean of A,B and C is 18,

`A+B+C=18* 3\\\\A+B+C=54\ .....(3)`

Put the value of A+B from (1) in (3),

C = 14

Put the value of B+C from (2) in (3)

A = 6

Mean of A and C is :

`M=(A+C)/(2)\\\\M=(14+6)/(2)\\\\M=10`

So, the mean of A and C is equal to 10.
