Help me, please! I'll give a lot of points!

Solve the system of equations to find a and b.
a + b = 22
3a + 1b = 30
Explain how you got the answer (step-by-step) and name a particular method you used.
If the answer does not contain everything, I'll delete it. Sorry :/

Answer:

This is a Simultaneous Equation

Now

We'll solve by Substitution.

a + b=22 ------(i)

3a + b = 30 -----(ii)

From (i)

Make b the subject

b= 22–a

Substitute b=22–a into equation (ii)

3a + b= 30

3a + (22–a)=30

3a + 22 – a= 30

3a - a = 30 -22

2a = 8

a= 4.

Now put a=4 into any equation of your choice to get b.

let's take equation (i)

a + b = 22

4 + b=22

b= 22-4

b=18.

FINAL ANSWER

a=4

b=18

Answer:

A= 4

B= 18

This is just basic math, so I didn't write it out step by step. I also didn't use a specific method in math, so I can't answer those questions for you. But there is the answer to the actual question.
