Answer:

mean: 21.9 median: 22 mode: 5 range: 43

Explanation:

First you put all the numbers from least to greatest.

5, 5, 5, 16, 16, 28, 29, 32, 35, 48

To calculate mean, you add all of the numbers together and divide by the amount of numbers you have in your data set.

5 + 5 + 5 + 16 + 16 + 28 + 29 + 32 + 35 + 48 = 219

219 ÷ 10 = 21.9

So the mean is 21.9

The median is your middle number in your data set. if your data set has an odd set of numbers (as in the amount of numbers, not the actual numbers in your data set) it would be the number right in the middle; no extra work needed. However, if your data set has an even set of numbers you would have to take to two middle numbers and find the average of those two numbers.

Since your data set has an even amount of numbers that means we have to do it the more tedious way.

Your two middle numbers are 16 and 28, so to find the average of those two numbers we would first have to add them together.

16 + 28 = 44

Then we would have to divide it by 2.

44 ÷ 2 = 22

So, you median will be 22.

To find your mode, you first need to count how many times each number is repeated.

5 - three times

16 - two times

28 - one time

29 - one time

32 - one time

35 - one time

48 - one time

Your mode will be the number(s) who has/have repeated the most.

So, your mode is 5.

To find your range, all you need to do is subtract your lowest number from your highest number. Since your lowest number is 5 and your highest number is 48, all you need is to subtract these two number, and you have your range.

48 - 5 = 43

So, your range is 43.

I know this was a bit long, but I hope this helped. :)
