Bob's youth group is selling candy bars for a fundraiser. The candy bars cost $2 each. To date, they have raised $700. Their goal is to raise more than $3,100.

How many more candy bars, x, do they need to sell to reach their goal? Select the inequality that includes the smallest number of candy bars they can sell and still reach their goal.

Answer:

1,200 candy bars

Explanation:

First we find how much many they need to raise:

3100 - 700= 2400

Then we take this amount and divide it by the cost of 1 candy bar:

2400 รท 2 = 1,200 candy bars {looks like they have a long way to go! ;)}

Hey need to sell 1200+ more because if they want more than $3100 and they already have $700 they need $2400 and divide that by 2.
