Answer:

y = 4x - 5

Explanation:

plug the coordinates into the equation: y = mx + b

3 = 2m + b

-) -5 = 0m + b

___________

8 = 2m => m = 4

substitute 4 into either of the equation 3 = 2m + b or -5 = 0m + b to solve for b

=> 3 = 2(4) + b

=> b = -5

plug m = 4 & b = -5 into the slope-intercept equation: y = mx + b

=> y = 4x - 5
