Answer:

12π units² or 37.7 units²

Explanation:

Find the area of the 3 circles and subtract the areas of the two smallest ones.

Biggest circle area: π((3(2)+2(2))/2)² = π((6+4)/2)² = π(5²) = 25π units²

2nd Biggest circle area: π(3)² = 9π units²

Smallest circle area: π(2)² = 4π units²

Shaded area: 25π - (9π + 4π) = 25π - 13π = 12π units² or 37.7 units²

Answer:

area of circle having radius 3

is πr²=π*3²=9π square units

area of circle having radius 2

=πr²=π×2²=4π square units

again

area of big circle having radius [3+2]=5 units

=πr²=π×5²=25π square units

Now

area of shaded region=25π-4π-9π=12π or 37.7square units.
