Answer:

188.53 m²

Explanation:

Total area of the stage = area of the rectangle + area of the semicircle

Area of rectangle = Length * Width

Length = 16 m

Width = 5.5 m

Area of rectangle = 16*5.5 = 88 m²

Area of semicircle = ½(πr²)

r = ½(16) = 8 m

Area = ½(π*8²)

Area = 100.53 m²

Total area of the stage = 88 + 100.53 = 188.53 m²
