-3=X/4 —> -3 • 4 = x (if you’re multiplying 4 and x, you want to get the x alone, so you multiply the 4 with itself, and that cancels the division out, so the x it’s on its own. whatever you do on one side you do on the other side so you multiply the -3 and 4 and you get -12)

in the end, your equation will look like
