Answer:

\boxed{ \boxed{ \large{ \bold{ \red{ \tt{T \: A \: B\: L \: E \: \: 'A'\: }}}}}}

\underline{ \underline{ \large{ \purple{\tt{E \: X\: P \: L \: A \: N \: A \: T\: I\: O \: N}}}}} :

\large{ \tt{TABLE \: A}} :

  • Let's define the relation of Table A i.e R ₁

⇾ Now , We are given the relation in Table A and we're gonna make a mapping diagram! [ See the attached picture ]. Here , Since every element of x has unique image in B , Table A is a function.

\large{ \tt{TABLE\: B}} :

  • Let's define the relation of Table B i.e R₂

⇾We're gonna make a mapping diagram too here! [ See the attached picture }. Since one element ' 32 ' is associated to elements ' 35 & 12 ' of y , this is not a function.

Q. What do you mean by function ? How can we identify whether the given relation is function ?

Ans: Function is a special type of relation. Function is the refinement of relation. To be a function , In a relation from A to B, every elements of Set A should have only one ( distinct ) image in B. In other words , if no two different ordered pairs have the same first component , then it is a function.
