Calculation :-

⇒ 2z + 8 = -6

Transposing +8 to Right Hand Side of the equation, We get,

⇒ 2z = -6 -8

Calculating further, We get,

⇒ 2z = -14

Transposing 2 to Right Hand Side of the equation, We get,

⇒ z =
\sf ( - 14)/(2)

Calculating further, We get,

⇒ z = -7

z = -7
