2y - 5y = -3

Explanation:

Standard form: Ax + By = c

y + 1 = 2/5(x+4)

y + 1 = 2/5x + 8/5

- 1 -1

y = 2/5x + 3/5

5(y = 2/5x + 3/5)

5y = 2x + 3

-2x -2x

-2x + 5y = 3 (Ax + By = C)

-1(-2x + 5y = 3) (leading coefficient needs to be positive)

2y - 5y = -3
