We are given:

Speed of the train = 90 km/h

Converting the speed to km per minute:

90(km)/(h)* (h)/(60 min) [since 1 hour = 60 minutes, h/60 minutes is equal to 1]

The 'h' in numerator and denominator will cancel out

90km / 60 min

1.5 km/min

Distance travelled in 2 minutes:

Distance = Speed * time

Distance =
1.5(km)/(min)* 2 min

Distance = 3 km
