A number cube is rolled. What is the probability that the result is a number greater than 4. the numbers on the dice are 4,5, and 2. show your work.

Let A : getting an odd number (i.e. 1,3 or 5), B: getting a number greater than 4 (i.e 5 or 6) . So, the required probability is P(A∪B)=P(A)+P(B)−P(A∩B)=36+26−16=46=23
