Answer:

Explanation:

We start by creating a table and writing 1 on the left side and then the number we're trying to find the factors for on the right side in a table.

1 31,500

Next, we take the number 31,500 and divide it by 2.

In this case, 2 ÷ 31,500 = 15,750

If the quotient is a whole number, then 2 and 15,750 are factors. Write them in the table below. If the quotient is not a whole number, skip to the next test.

1 2 15,750 31,500

Now, we try dividing 31,500 by 3.

31,500 ÷ 3 = 10,500

If the quotient is a whole number, then 3 and 10,500 are factors. Write them in the table below. If the quotient is not a whole number, skip to the next test.

Here is what our table should look like at this step:

1 2 3 10,500 15,750 31,500

Let's try dividing by 4.

31,500 ÷ 4 = 7,875

If the quotient is a whole number, then 4 and 7,875 are factors. Write them in the table below. If the quotient is not a whole number, skip to the next test.

Here is what our table should look like at this step:

1 2 3 4 7,875 10,500 15,750 31,500

We keep dividing by the next largest number, in this case the number 5. If the quotient of 5 ÷ 31,500 is a whole number, then 5 and your quotient are factors of the number.

Keep dividing by the next highest number until you cannot divide anymore.

What you will end up with is this table:

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 9 10 12 14 15 18 20 21 25 28 30 35 36 42 45 50 60 63 70 75 84 90 100 105 125 126 140 150 175 180 210 225 250 252 300 315 350 375 420 450 500 525 630 700 750 875 900 1,050 1,125 1,260 1,500 1,575 1,750 2,100 2,250 2,625 3,150 3,500 4,500 5,250 6,300 7,875 10,500 15,750 31,500

All of the numbers in the table above can be evenly divided into the number 31,500.

Finally, for your reference, here are all of the divisor combinations of the number 31,500:

1 x 315002 x 157503 x 105004 x 78755 x 63006 x 52507 x 45009 x 350010 x 315012 x 262514 x 225015 x 210018 x 175020 x 157521 x 150025 x 126028 x 112530 x 105035 x 90036 x 87542 x 75045 x 70050 x 63060 x 52563 x 50070 x 45075 x 42084 x 37590 x 350100 x 315105 x 300125 x 252126 x 250140 x 225150 x 210175 x 180
