What kind of disorder does Norman have?

Norman has a hotel that he runs with his mother. She has recently stopped working the front desk as she is
elderly and getting too old for the job. The customer's did not realize that she actually died and Norman had set
her in her rocking chair to look out her bedroom window. He continued to talk to her and he believed that she
answered him. He saw her rocking in her chair and reading her book. Norman believed it was his responsibility
to keep looking after her. He was her savior.

I’m pretty sure that could be schizophrenia, see schizophrenia is a type of mental disorder that leads a person to breakdown in the relation between thoughts, emotion and behavior leading to faulty perception , and inappropriate actions or feelings pretty much a withdrawal from reality they don’t know what’s real and what isn’t
